Classical Decision Making

This approach assumes the following concepts in decision making:

  • Humans make decisions like a computer, that is, analytically,
  • Pros and cons are carefully weighed and assessed, and
  • A decision is made based on the “sum” of the pros and cons.
Information aids in the evaluation of the "pros" and "cons" of decision alternatives.
