AAR-100 Research Program (Plan) Directives (RPD)
There are three RPDs in the human factors program: Flight Deck, Aviation Maintenance, and Aeromedical Research. RPDs are planning and programming documents prepared several years in advance (for example, RPDs for FY 2003 are prepared in FY 2001). They describe known priority research which responds to customer requirements. They also describe the resources required by year to conduct planned research programs. Metrics describing key products and milestones are included in each RPD.
