
The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Program Director for Human Factors. The Program Director is responsible for leading a major agency-wide human factors program. The Program Director provides executive direction and leadership on all human factors research and engineering matters and provides executive-level advice, guidance, and recommendations to the FAA Administrator, Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Chief Operating Officer, and Federal Acquisition Executive, as appropriate. The incumbent acts as the focal point within and outside the agency for FAA human factors research management and provides expertise on human factors engineering applications. The incumbent reports directly to the Director, Research and Technology Development, located in the ATO ? NextGen & Operations Planning service unit.
The candidate must show successful completion of a full 4-year course of study from an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's, or higher, degree that included a major course of study, or equivalent, in psychology.
